We designed VibeQL with privacy as a core principle. Our product operates primarily on your local device, does not collect your database queries, and requires you to provide your own API keys for AI services (Bring Your Own Keys or "BYOK").

VibeQL is designed as a privacy-first application. We want to be explicit about what we do not collect:

• Your database connection details or credentials
• Your database schema or structure
• SQL queries you write or generate using the application
• The results of your database queries
• Your AI provider API keys (these remain on your device)
• Chat history with the AI assistant (stored locally on your device only)

Our application is designed to perform these operations locally on your device, without sending this information to our servers.

VibeQL uses a "Bring Your Own Keys" (BYOK) model for AI services. This means:

• You provide your own API keys for services like OpenAI, Groq, Anthropic, etc.
• These keys are stored locally on your device
• VibeQL never transmits these keys to our servers
• When you use AI features, data is sent directly from your device to your chosen AI provider
• Your interaction with these third-party AI providers is subject to their respective privacy policies

We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any AI provider you choose to use with VibeQL.

While we minimize data collection, we may collect the following limited information:

• License Validation Information: Information necessary to validate your license key, including a device identifier and license key.
• Crash Reports: If you opt in, we may collect crash reports to help us improve the application's stability.
• Anonymous Usage Statistics: With your consent, we may collect anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the application.
• Communications: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

The limited information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Validating your license and providing license-related services
• Improving the performance and reliability of the Application
• Providing customer support and responding to inquiries
• Sending you important notifications about the Application, such as security updates

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your AI provider keys and database credentials are stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by your operating system.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

• The right to access information we have about you
• The right to request that we correct any information we have about you
• The right to request that we delete any information we have about you
• The right to opt out of any optional data collection
